'Ongaeshi' is a Japanese traditional aestheic and means to give back or to return a favour, showing a gratitude to people who provide you benefits or kind support etc. In other words, Ongaeshi is the action you take when you thank someone for something they have done for you.

人からもらった恩恵を、感謝を、言葉だけではなく、行動に移すことの大切さを伝えてくれる私たち日本人が受け継ぐ「報恩」という言葉。この言葉を紡ぐプロジェクト、それが「鶴居村の恩返し」です。
いつか、いつか、と、後回しになってしまう前に私たち「鶴居村の恩返し」に、みなさんの「報恩の心」を伝えるお手伝いをさせてください。
The word 'Houen', the heart of gratitude, which we Japanese have inherited, conveys the importance of putting the benefits we receive from others, and our gratitude, into action, not just words. 「恩返しの品」は、誰かのための「贈り物」として購入していただくことを目的としています。 全国でも高く評価をされている北海道鶴居村のチーズを使った「プレミアムチーズケーキ」はじめ、ここで扱う品は、どれも生産者の想いが込められた北海道の恵みが生み出す逸品です。
The aim of 'ONGAESHI' products is intended to be purchased as a ‘gift’ for someone.The products on offer here, including the Premium Cheese Cake using nationally acclaimed cheese from Tsurui Village in Hokkaido, which are all excellent products produced from Hokkaido's bounty, with the producer's thoughts put into them.

このプロジェクトの集大成でもある鶴居村の「高級会員制温泉宿『夕鶴（仮称）』」。温泉地としても注目されている鶴居村を観光地としても盛り上げるべく、新しいリゾート施設の建設を予定しています。
恩返しの品を購入された方には、この『夕鶴（仮称）』への優先宿泊権利を付与させていただくなど、“鶴居村からの恩返し”からあなたへとっておきの贈り物する、それがこのプロジェクトの全貌です。
For those who have purchased the 'ONGAESHI' products provided from us, we will now return the favour to you. The culmination of this project: the 'luxury members-only hot spring resort Yuzuru' in Tsurui Village. A new resort facility is planned to be built in order to boost Tsurui Village, which is also attracting attention as a hot spring resort, as a tourist destination.

特別天然記念物タンチョウの生息繁殖地「鶴居村」。
北海道釧路管内のほぼ中央に位置し、特別天然記念物タンチョウをはじめ、貴重な野生生物が生息する自然豊かな恵の地です。
釧路空港にも近く、釧路湿原などの広大な自然環境と手厚い福祉・医療事業の施策による住みやすさから、全国各地から子育て世代などの移住者が増加しています。
鶴居村の基幹産業は「酪農」。日本でもトップレベルの良質な生乳を生産し、この生乳を原料とした「鶴居産のチーズ」は数々のコンテストで賞を受賞しています。
鶴居村は、豊かな自然と共生する住み良い村づくりを推進しています。
Tsurui Village is a habitat and breeding ground for the Japanese crane, a special national natural treasure.
Located almost in the centre of Hokkaido's Kushiro region, Tsurui Village is a blessed area rich in nature and home to rare wildlife, including the crane, a special natural treasure.
The village is also close to Kushiro Airport, and the vast natural environment, including the Kushiro Marsh, and generous welfare and medical services make it an easy place to live, attracting an increasing number of people from all over the country, including those of child-rearing generation.
Dairy farming is the key industry of Tsurui Village. It produces the highest quality raw milk in Japan, and the 'Tsurui cheese' made from this raw milk has won awards at a number of competitions.
Tsurui Village is promoting the development of a good village to live in harmony with the rich natural environment.
